*Sign up ASAP to join the current 6 week volunteering cycle supporting the smooth running of cookery classes led by asylum seeker, refugee & migrant chefs.
We are currently delivering a 6 week cycle until 25th June, follow this link to register bit.ly/MigratefulVolunteering
Migrateful is an award winning charity aiming to support asylum seekers, refugees & migrants in their journey to integration by preparing them to run cookery classes sharing their native cuisine.
To properly run a cookery class, Migrateful needs 3-4 volunteers for each, for a total time of 5.5 hrs per class. Migrateful has its own volunteering community initiative called The Orange Onion Club. Class Sidekicks can either sign up to a 6 week cycle or support on an ad-hoc basis, signing up to one class at a time.
Volunteering at our classes is a great way to learn about new cuisines and cultures from around the world, and each session involves a delicious communal meal!
The support of volunteers make a world of difference in the lives of the refugees and migrants who belong to the Migrateful family.
We ask volunteers to commit 5.5hrs a week for 6 consecutive weeks. Volunteers select a time slot and location which works for them so that their classes happen in the same venue every week and they are part of a regular team of co-volunteers and class facilitator leading them.
Registering gives you access to our volunteer portal where you are able to check available slots and shift, book in and cancel (with enough advance). For more info & to sign up, visit bit.ly/MigratefulVolunteering
